Backflow is the undesirable reversal of flow in a
potable (drinking) water distribution system as a result of back pressure.
Backflow assembly is
an approved, testable assembly which uses valves in different configurations to prevent polluted or contaminated water from
reversing direction and flowing backward.
Common uses are on fire sprinkler systems, irrigation
systems, boiler make-up and domestic water services.
Breaks in a water main or fire hydrant use
are two examples that may cause a system to backflow. These are situations that can happen without notice and therefore
require continous prevention.
Just like your automobile backflow devices have parts that can break
and wear out. Because parts can break down and wear out there are laws that require annual testing.
Ohio law requires buildings with a backflow device to be annualy tested to protect the water supply and ensuring
that it remains pure, clean and safe from contamination.
We have certified backflow assembly testers
who have attended rigorous trainging programs to inspect, test and repair all backflow assemblies and devices.
We have a computer program that keeps track of all backflow information and testing dates and will call you 2/3 weeks
prior to your test being due to schedule your test.
We test, install, service and repair all makes
and models of backflow assemblies. We provide high quality service and we also file all the paperwork for you to the
Water Dept and the State.
We understand you have a choice in who you work with, and we will show
you why we should be the one you call.
