Founded in 2002 in Little Hocking Ohio, Mountaineer Commercial Kitchen Repair started out as a commercial restaurant and electrical company, licensed in Ohio and West Virginia, we then expanded in 2003 by adding HVAC.  In 2008 Mountaineer Mechanical was born.  Plumbing and Backflow Testing were added to our services in 2009 to provide all of your commercial and residential mechanical needs.  Moving to Athens Ohio in 2009 became necessary to acccomodate our rapidly growing business.  Since then Mountaineer has grown so much that we are currently building a new and larger office and shop area located at 16594 Canaanville Rd Athens, Ohio.

The son of a plumber, owner Eddie Place grew up in Appalachian Ohio.  Being a quick learner himself, Eddie continued his education at N.I.T. not far from here in a small town in West Virginia.  Upon graduating from N.I.T. Eddie went to work for Hobart Sales.  In 2002 Eddies dreams of owning his own company were so BIG that he came up with the name Mountaineer for the family owned business he and his wife Bree would soon open.  Eddie 's dream is that one day Mountaineer Mechanical will be a household name..
